High resolution TFTs with MIPI interface

The 22-series displays are very high-resolution panels with strong, longlife LED backlight. This enables industrial applications to have super crisp images also in strong light and sunlight conditions. Furthermore, the MIPI interface makes integration cost-efficient with popular micocontrollers and processors. The touch is not added onto the TFT, as in most industrial displays, but instead directly integrated, as a so called in-cell touch.

  •  Resolution:

    • 1920 × 1200 (7,0″ and 10,1″)

    • 1920 × 720 (12,3″)

  •  In-cell Capasitiv Touch

  •  MIPI DSI interface

  •  1000nits brightness

  • Operating temp. -20 to +70 deg C

Different structures of Capacitive Touch

There are three ways to create capacitive touch displays;  In-Cell, On-Cell and OGS(One Glass Solution), also called OOC (Out Of Cell).
In-Cell refers to embedding touch panel function into liquid crystal pixels. That is, embedding touch sensor function inside LCD structure.

In-Cell Advantages

Limiting the number of layers in the optical “stack” results in lower reflection and improved solar radiation without increasing the brightness of the backlight.

.

In-cell touch makes a much slimmer structure and enhance the power efficiency and readability. The disadvantages with the In-cell technology are few, but EMC properties might be considered.

First introduced is 7,0″, 10,1″ and 12,3″. But other sizes will follow.
